I hope they don't break up again!

Hopefully the hoses won't snap because of old castings or bad material. Installed they eliminate the engine warning light, but after 2 months this brand appears to be chipping and the light is back on. They either need a softer rubber compound for this application or a new shape.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Weight

Suitable if they are a little lubricated they tear very quickly.

Dakota SLT 2001, I oiled the hoses a bit. They seem to fit well and my check engine light went out after about 100 miles. The big one split at both ends in just a week or two. Didn't even get to check it out. GARBAGE! I say SHIT!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some cons

I bought these for my 2002 Durango.

I bought these for my 2002 Durango and they only lasted a year before I received a CEL for a minor evaporator leak from a crack (OEMs lasted 12 years). They're cheap and work when you know a smog control is coming up. Buy a few pairs because they won't last long.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not sure

Cheap fluid hoses break after 6000 miles

Second order of this kit for a 2002 Dodge Dakota 3.9L. Being under the truck they are exposed to the elements, the first two snapped at the ends and the evap code put the check engine light back on. The second time might be better who knows. I shorted the exhaust hoses to better secure them so they can't rattle as much.

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Vulgarity

A large hose won't last long on my car. It tends to tear easily at the big end after 3-4 months in the car. I think the hole is not big enough and the pressure on the hose from the fitting it is installed around is too much for the material the hose is made of and after a few months the hose breaks.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Zero

This hose set does not fit properly. The more .

This hose set does not fit properly. The large hose is too small to fit onto the nipple from the side of the canister. Save yourself the hassle and buy a rubber fuel hose with hose clamps from an auto parts store and do the job once instead of the hose snapping and the check engine light coming back on in a few days. I bought two of these sets and both had the same results. I would give zero stars if I could.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • So-so

It worked great on my 2002 Dodge Dakota Sport 4.

Worked perfectly on my 2002 Dodge Dakota Sport 4.7L. I put it on and restarted my truck and the check engine light went out. I had codes P0422, P0455 and P0456. You can check why the check engine light is on by doing the following. Turn the key to the on and off position three times, the third time hold the key on the codes to read where your odometer is located. I hope this helped you. Just another update that worked for a few months, now it's cracked again, replace again, it hasn't even been…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Almost never

Ideal for: Engine cooling and air conditioning

The description in this listing is not very good so I will try to help you if you have any doubts if this is what you need. These are the hoses used in the evaporative emission control system on 2001-2004 Dodge Dakota or Durango vehicles. One of them goes from the carbon tank to the fuel tank plastic line and the other goes from the NVLD pump to the plastic line to the engine bay. If you're getting an OBDII code P0455, P0456, or P0442 and you've already replaced your gas cap, chances are at…
