🌡️ Dorman 599-210XD Climate Control Module for Specific Vehicle Models Review

I bought this for my husband's truck. I was very nervous because the reviews say it doesn't work. We've had it for 2 months now and it works great! No complaints!

In the last 2 weeks I had to pull it out twice to turn it off and on again as none of the buttons work, now it just blows on the floor. I'm not sure what's going on, but this thing should be better for the price.

Brand new unit stopped working properly after less than 30 days. If the device has been removed/reset/reprogrammed. worked fine ok 4 hours. Faced the same problems. No temperature control (AC, heat, defrost), only the fan worked. The HVAC unit is replaced with a third-party model.

The blend door actuators and main mode selector actuator had their own opinion. Sometimes they gave me warmth, sometimes air conditioning. At first I thought they were bad actuators, but it turned out to be the control panel. The instructions were simple and the vehicle identification step worked quickly on the first try.

XD is an improved unit and this works well in my 2004 Chevy Silverado. Okay I've had it for 3 months now and it failed. Contacted the company working with Revain to find a replacement. This will be the third Dorman I have installed. Is there another company that makes them? Because Dorman doesn't seem to be getting it right.

Was very impressed with the clean and new appearance, was disappointed that the unit had functional issues but the seller was very friendly, returned it and immediately provided a loan. Something happens and the problem is usually not noticed during the functional test. The device will work great until my truck is off for a while, after which it will turn on again after a reboot. Dorman could have spent a little more time developing this product It works! Was it easy to install, yes! Does it mimic a GM factory part in terms of perceived quality? NO! I bought this unit for my 2003 Silverado. My air conditioning wasn't working then and these trucks are known for their air conditioning. Replaced as a last resort as everything else has already been replaced.
