I found this tool to work, but it was easier to take a thin towel or rag, hang it on the window handle and just tug back and forth. It jumped out of the ring faster than the tool.

well made, but awkward to use. very narrow edge for inserting the tool into the notch to release the pin. It fits my 1995 Chevy S10 perfectly, you just need to play around with it a bit to make it work.

Removing the window handle brackets on a Chevy 86 pickup worked. In the past I have used screwdrivers to remove the clips which was a little frustrating but mostly scratched the door panel. This tool left no scuff marks on the door panel, and within a minute or two of correctly aligning the clip, it popped out immediately.

It took a few tries to learn how to use the handle you are touching with your hand and gently slide the tool towards the center until the Tabs protrude 1/4 inch from each side of the grip shaft. From there, the handle can be pulled out immediately. After taking it off and seeing how the process worked, the other side took 5 seconds.

This tool allows you to quickly remove all window handles and interior door handles on 60's and 70's Chevrolets, not sure on other cars. Simply position this tool so the tabs are pointing directly at the open tabs on the retaining clips and push in, the clips will pop out instantly. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the 90 degree bend they make at the end of the handle gets in the way all the time and if you are not careful you will very easily make a deep gouge in your vintage , which…
