Sharpen quickly and smoothly, but.

They sharpen chainsaws well, but I don't know if they last longer than carborundum saws. An advantage is that even if they don't sharpen very well, they don't shrink in diameter like stone knives.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Great for sharpening chainsaw chains

I have this to sharpen chainsaw chains. I just use it in a regular dremel with no instructions or anything. I just do it with my free hand, following the shape of the cutters. 5 minutes brought a completely dull chain back to new cutting ability. I've never gotten a good sharpening with a hand file. This is a ticket.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some problems

Excellent price. fits bits

Identical to my rating 3/32" stone. Very good price compared to my local options even if they are in stock. The whetstone itself sharpens my chains well enough that I probably get about 10 sharpenings and touch ups before I have to take them to the shop for a professional job.Two packs are nice to have to spare.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Working speed

Broken easy way out? That will grind too!

I didn't buy this bit for it's intended purpose. I bought it because, like other unfortunate souls, I broke the easy-to-remove bolt extractor in the bolt I was trying to remove. It took a while but with a couple of these bits I was able to carve out a hardened easy to remove piece without damaging the hole already drilled. From there I bought a set of higher quality extractors and finished the job. If your usage intent aligns with mine, I recommend this bit. If you're looking for a chain…

Stones of the gods are slowly sharpening

but excellent. Sharpening a chainsaw tooth with it and my dremel is actually pretty easy. Make sure you get the correct size for your specific chain. If you're not sure, ask the seller or the people of Oregon who are leaders in chainsaw service and innovation trading. Anyway, with this I can easily avoid the 20 mile round trip and $10 sharpening fee. A new chain costs less than $20 if you shop carefully, sharpening is easy and saves a lot of money. I actually needed a 7/32 wheel, but that was…

Pros
  • All is well!
Cons
  • Expensive
