I see some people complaining that the wheel fails after the first use because it gets too hot. This is likely to occur when too much of the circle's surface is in contact with the substrate being cut. It is important that only the cutting edge makes contact with the object being cut so the blade does not heat up beyond its built in cooling capacity.

This is a weekend warrior, but I make enough projects and use enough power tools to have realistic expectations of a basic Dremel accessory. A utility knife that can do what few other tools can. Whether you need to carve something in a small space or cut something fairly finely, this does a decent job. However, this cutter has its limitations as it cuts some materials better than others. Do not attempt to cut metal or very hard objects such as concrete or stone. It works on wood, plastic and other not very dense materials. It becomes blunt like any blade. The harder you work with it, the faster it gets boring.

I love the Dremel when used as the primary rotary tool for polishing, sanding and drilling small items. If you use it as a cutter, it works great when cutting a small bolt. I don't have any woodworking equipment or tools. So I bought this wheel along with my Dremel and my extension. I used it to create a bespoke nativity scene for my Willow Tree Christmas.
