I made a 1/4 inch error on the face of the red oak piece. I bought these to save $100 on a new Newell oak shelving unit. They arrived safely but they are metric so 6mm should fit in a 1/4 inch hole but they are too small and for the finished product the discrepancy is glaring. Buy them at your own risk. I have to return mine. All my drills are SAE certified.

I didn't have high expectations for such an affordable solution. The manufacturer did not disappoint us. My low expectations were met with extremely poor craftsmanship and genuine fear for my personal safety if I tossed one of these into my drill press. I'll probably dispose of them at the nearest metal recycling center and save myself a few stitches in the emergency room.

Very poor quality product, the wire cutters didn't cut into the wood, they just twisted and burned the wood. I resharpened the drill and it worked for two plugs, after which the soft steel warped and rendered it unusable. The tapered plug worked fairly well leaving a very jagged edge, but after re-sharpening they worked fine. I would not recommend buying them. Cork cutters, buy the best quality

I wasn't expecting much when I ordered these tips considering the price and country of origin but still my expectations were too high. I don't need them often, so it would be enough for me if they made 50-100 plugs. However, you won't even make 1 unless you need it from softened butter! My very first attempt was on a piece of walnut. Started to burn before the bit went 1/8 inch into the wood. Serious! These things are worth nothing. I liked that they work right out of the box. I tried taking apart 6 pallets by cutting off the head of a nail so the boards would come out straight. They did just that, but the bits dulled less than halfway. A few bits with teeth fell apart. They were quickly replaced by the company. There is excellent customer service. For the money it was good value but I plan to take more pallets apart in the future and I don't think they will last as long as the first set I had. If you don't need them all…
