Bad plastic is good for sewing

I like the idea of this box, but it's poorly made. The first came with a broken lid. They sent me another one and it arrived well but the plastic breaks easily if dropped. They are stackable. In addition, tall overlock thread spools are too large and unsuitable for these containers.

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

The yarn storage box is suitable for most yarns.

Dritz 788 Spool Storage Box fits most spools of thread. There are other boxes that only fit a few threads and the rows are too narrow to add more thread and only bobbins fit. This box allows you to mount any standard size spools of thread across all rows without them interfering with each other. This is my favorite choice of Dritz. Note. It's made of acrylic plastic so don't drop it or it will break.

Pros
  • Yarn & Floss
Cons
  • Long Delivery Time

Convenient Thread Storage

This thread box comes in handy as it has a groove on the top and bottom so you can stack thread boxes on top of each other. They slide on top of each other so they can be neatly stacked on a shelf. They are made from clear hard plastic so you can see all your filament and find the right spool without having to open the box. I have so many threads that I stack and count 4 boxes so this system works great for me. I think these are the best boxes for storing yarn.

Great inner drawer storage

Glad to find this thread box here! Three of these fit perfectly in the Ikea metal cabinet I use for my sewing supplies. There's even a place to put lids under the box if I ever switch to a different system. I've been using it for several years, everything is fine, without chips and cracks. Also, the bobbin fits under the large spool of thread if you want to store them together. Great yarn storage and a great way to keep it clean and dust free.

Pros
  • Sewing
Cons
  • Without machine
