Very easy! best when sewing

I was willing to tinker with them a bit after reading the reviews about how difficult they are to install, but all I had to do was mark the spot with a sharpie to mark, tape the waist and place the jeans, printed side up, on a hard flat surface, slide the back under the mark, slide the fabric all the way around the tab, grasp the edges of the bodice, gently tap the button with a deadbolt hammer until it clicks into place, then tap hard enough to drive the application into the face of the…

They arrived in a small zipped bag, not Dritz retail packaging. They looked exactly like the picture but I was wondering if they were real. Worked well so no complaints. I used one of the buttons to fix a broken button on the front of a pair of Levi jeans. They're a little bigger than the original, but they fit. I give them 4 points because they are a bit thin. Other reviews of these buttons criticize that they are difficult to use. I used an awl to poke a hole in the fabric. Then I slipped the

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Okay I wasn't planning on reviewing this product because I read all the other reviews and bought it outright expecting to mess up most of them and end up with one to have correct installation . For me, repairing one pair of pants would be worth the cost of the entire package. However, now I'm writing with an ad for anyone who wants to buy them: HOW TO INSTALL IT PERFECTLY! After sensing how difficult it is to align, let alone evaluate, a switch and button without damaging them, I began…

Fasten buttons, shame button sewing.

Bought this button to replace a button on my dress pants that kept coming off and breaking due to my weight gain. XD Some additional tools you may need are a seam ripper or your thickest sewing needle and 3 inch bench clamps and a vise. "Father" is hidden inside. Installation required some work but wasn't very difficult. Installation. Use scissors to remove the remaining thread from the old button. Locate the spot where you want to attach the button. I choose closest to the edge to maximize…

Looks good and easy to install, but unreliable.

Easy to sew on --- well at least 3 times out of 4. I was amazed at how easy it was to just stick the metal pin through the fabric of the back pockets of the pants and fasten the metal button. A hammer was not required, and the button connected to the thumbtack with a thumb press. It has worked well 3 times out of 4 (pack of 4 buttons). However, the fourth button refused to stay on the thumbtacks. That's quality control for you. Finally I resorted to hitting the button with a small hammer, the…
