Silica Gel Beads Size: 2-4 mm; These are not the fine powder type for drying flowers; Do not use them for drying flowers; You can place the beads inside organza bags, muslin bags, or any other breathable bags; Replacement desiccant for air dryers and compressors. Indicating Orange silica gel beads will change to Dark Green when 50-60% absorbed with moisture; Still almost half more capacity is left to absorb moisture even after color change; Orange beads are free of cobalt chloride. 28.9% at 50% RH in Laboratory Supplies and Consumables

First off, let me say that this order was never shipped to me. Revain refunded my money and I was able to get it through another source. Performance: Despite this, this product is fantastic. According to my test run at 55% relative humidity, this silica can pull 28.9% of its own weight in moisture from the air! Easy to see when it needs to be reactivated, easy to reactivate and reuse

I chose this product because of the color change indicator. Other products I have reviewed require the product to be weighed to determine moisture absorption or they have not simply been reactivated. The Calcium Chloride tablets I've tried previously require constant replenishment and you're dealing with a harsh liquid that sticks and smells like chemicals. With these silica gel balls, I put about a third of the container in a toule fabric bag I made (overknee stockings would also work!) and…

1 liter high quality orange desiccant

I use this in my 24 gun safe to lower humidity, works well, increased humidity from 55 to 43 percent. I had to recharge the beads after a few days. This should slow down once the humidity in the vault stabilizes. If you want to buy beads, you first need a container to put them in. I used a glass jar with the lid off and just the ring to hold a piece of wire over the jar's neck.
