I live in Boulder, Colorado and have been useful many times this winter. They are ideal for city sidewalks covered with ice or snow. The only time I slipped was when I forgot to put them on!

this is a really good product and they work well on ice hikes. I lost my original pair and ordered another one. Also good. Of course I found my old pair. But the new ones are just as good as the old ones. The lugs on the old ones were worn but still worked well. I walk on tarmac quite often before hitting the road, so I'm impressed with their durability. I wouldn't trade them for any other brand. I feel safe with them.

Can't give 5 stars here as the sizing is wrong. I should have read the other reviews before ordering. I take men's size 13 and buy a large to match the size of the product. But too small.
