Description of 🔪 Durable Luncheon Meat Slicer: Stainless Steel, 11 Wires for 12 Thinner Slices, Certified Safety, Slice Meat, Fruit, and Soft Cheeses (Green)

QUALITY MATERIAL AND CONSTRUCTION: The gabo slicer is made of sturdy, BPA free ABS that’s harder, lighter and better quality than the usual PP. It can resist heat of temperatures up to 230F (110C). Slice hotter food items with no fear. The stainless steel wires are firmly positioned on the device, guaranteed to remain in place and unbreakable for as long as you own it!. BETTER, EASIER SLICING: Most slicers out there feature 10 wires that are usually flimsy and produce ugly, uneven slices. The gabo slicer gives you 11 sturdy, rust-resistant wires that produce flawless and even, thin slices of about 0.25 in (6.5mm) thickness. And it’s so easy to use! Simply place the food item in place and push down the bar until completely sliced. You’ll love our slicer so much, you will want to eat everything in slices!. CERTIFIED SAFETY: Our product is manufactured with completely nontoxic materials and safe procedures. You can see the proof pictures here! Certified safety in materials and usage, we give you a kitchen accessory that will help you prepare your food in the safest manner. SO MANY SLICING CHOICES: The possibilities of what you can slice are endless! Make delicious toasts with cold cut meats. Slice bananas for fruit salads and desserts. Slice roast meats for impressively served dishes. Slice spam for a special musubi creation. Use your imagination and make the gabo slicer the most used accessory in your kitchen!

This article has not withstood use

It was great at first, it was a bit difficult to pass spam and the parts were not the same size, but they were close. I used it twice before it broke. I slowly push it through the spam and feel a click, the wire just snapped and the tool became unusable. Threw it in the trash. Don't buy it, it's flimsy and breaks easily even if you're careful. It's not worth it.

  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Modern

All spam has the same thickness.

Stumbled across this product while browsing Revain. I used it for the first time yesterday. Love it. It cuts spam into even slices for frying and time saving. I don't have to cut each slice individually with different thicknesses. I look forward to other foods to use this with. I almost wish they made a different size for thinner slices as an alternative.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Minor issues

Will break sooner rather than later

Start by liking. Perfect smooth spam trimming. "Dislike" is difficult to clean and breaks after the 2nd use. I thought I had at least 10 uses to failure but I only experienced 2! The 3rd time the frame holding the wires broke. For real! I don't cut hard cheese. This is spam! Should have listened to other reviews. Unless you ideally want to cut off that last can of spam, stay away from this one.

Pros
  • Complete Set
Cons
  • Small Parts

Great for spam and brown bread

Due to COVID I wanted to have lots of canned food on board while we cruise the Florida Keys. Spam is so versatile that you need to control portions while dieting. Ability to cut my 12 oz. Spamming in 12 equal parts is great. Canned bread from Boston weighs 16 ounces. But after slicing the loaf to the size of a slicer, I was sure I had 12 identical slices — an ounce each. I'm happy.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Faulty

good idea poorly implemented

Used twice successfully. The third time, the wires were so loose that even completely closed ones wouldn't have snapped through a bunch of SPAM. I will only request a refund after 3 uses. I would not recommend this product. I love that it has more wires than the others for thinner slices, but you can still use an extra wire or two for even thinner slices. I wouldn't cut anything tougher than a loaf of cut and shaped meat.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Exactly what I wanted, good for mandolins and slicers

I'm a spam lover (e.g. meat) and I love that I can cut a whole can in one operation and the same Thickness of slices for frying or baking have consistency. However, the product I found requires the cutting to be done slowly (patiently) to avoid potentially damaging the wires - yes, this is true even for a product as soft as SPAM. I have not used it for any other meats, cheeses etc. So far so good, and I hope it will continue to work (and last) as well for a long time to come. I am satisfied…

The most amazing thing for SPAM lovers until it breaks

I love SPAM. When I want to cook something tasty and easy, I look to SPAM. I used to have to cut them with a knife, which I find absolutely barbaric when using this SPAM slicer to get even cuts. However, it is made of rather thin materials. The plastic body will bend and eventually break with repeated use, and trying to cut too fast will cause the cutting lines to deform. /2019: After almost eight months of ownership, it finally broke. A small loss as it's not expensive, but I'd rather it…

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • It makes me angry

Ideal for drying

I dry a lot. Slicing bananas by hand or with a conventional egg slicer always takes too long before they are browned and/or soft. I decided to give it a try and I'm happy with it. Instead of slicing a banana into quarters to fit a traditional slicer, it easily slices through a whole half. It's also flat rather than curved, resulting in more whole slices and less useless mush. My preparation time has been reduced by about a third compared to before. The slices are thicker than before so…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • For old
