Does not include apostrophes (') and commas (,) characters

(1) RHINO 4200 does not include apostrophes (') and commas (,) characters. DYMO Technical Support has confirmed this. These characters are available on the 5200 model.(2) This limitation is not sufficiently stated in the product description. It would be helpful to know in advance about unavailable apostrophes and commas. (3) In addition, the label settings have a minimum length that cannot be reduced, regardless of the font size and the length of the text line. For example I have 12mm x 5.5mm…

The more I use it, the more I hate it.

I have had this device for almost a year. This is the most annoying label printer I've ever used. I bought a lithium ion battery and charger. It's always dead when I take it out to use it. (It never retained its charge.) Settings keep reverting to default. Just a few minutes ago I changed the size to 18pt. Label edited and printed. It will be printed at 32 pt. arggg! This happened repeatedly. I always thought it was what I was doing. Sometimes it prints well in mixed case. Then suddenly…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Useless functions

Much better than the 5200!

I have been using the Rhino 5200 for more than a year in the security field. I chose 4200 for home and part-time work. Having both really helps me in helping you decide what to pick. Pros 5200: big screen, good battery life with lithium battery, better tape cutter. 4200 Pros: Much lighter QWERTY keyboard! Price! I use a label printer like crazy at work, especially for networking, I usually always travel with a label printer in my backpack. I really like the 5200's large screen so you can see…

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Lots of features - great for restarting

The Rhino 4200 is great. I am reloading rifle cartridges and need a 1/2 inch label with at least 3 lines. I bought a 1/2" D1 label cartridge and it prints great. The user interface is very simple and easy to navigate. It's easy to keep labels in memory, and the program remembers size, orientation, and rotation. There is a pretty good user guide online, just google "Rhino 4200 Manual". If you want to change text size, rotation or orientation, you can do it with a click of a button. It also shows

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • It's ok
