🚗 Dynomax Ultra Flo 17554 Performance Exhaust Muffler Review

UPDATE: After 1,000 km the sound in the muffler has improved. A fully rounded sound is still missing. But things got better. Overall, my muffler didn't have the build quality issues that other reviewers had. While the muffler is doing its job, it's very quiet in my truck. I have a big 8.1 liter block and the muffler doesn't sound much louder than stock. Conclusion: I would not recommend this muffler to friends and if I had known that the sound was quiet I would not have bought it.

Installed this muffler on my 2006 Silverado 2500HD. The muffler looks well rebuilt and appears to be an improvement over the Flowmaster Super 50 that I replaced. It has a nice see-through design and sounds great. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a nice growl without tons of drone on the freeway. However, this is definitely not the quiet muffler on my truck.

Sounds great! Has the perfect deep rumble that sounds rough and harsh. At highway speeds it's very quiet, so there's no hum at all, but when you step on the gas it makes the average noise I'm looking for. I used a DynoMax Ultra Flo™ X, model 17554, with two 3" inlet and two 3" outlet mufflers to fill the restrictive factory center muffler substitute.
