🚀 Dynomax Super Turbo 17731 Exhaust Muffler: Unleash your Vehicle's Power! Review

My '88 Corvette drives daily and had factory Hi-Po mufflers which were long overdue to replace as they were very noisy/humming. I've put glass bags on it that were too noisy for everyday use like the Raptors I've tried. I ordered/installed them and they are amazing with the difference in throttle response, torque at low speeds and acceleration at overtake speeds. Despite the idle volume, the overall sound is good with no hum.

I really wanted to like these mufflers but I just can't. At idle they sound like pig grunts and I can't live with that. It's just a shame. They are mounted on an AMC 304 with stock headers, 2.25" dual exhaust and 2.5" muffler and tailpipes. When you drive they actually sound decent and the torque is way better than the Flowmaster 40s I've had but I'll go back to the Flowmasters because they have a really DEEP aggressive sound but the 50 series from the 40's up Series is pretty loud.

This is exactly what my car needed. Idling is noticeable but not loud. It spins beautifully to a medium growl. They don't hum at all and are much more civilized to ride than the welded thrush mufflers I've had before. This money was well spent and gave my muscle car the right balance of sound and comfort. Was ordered and fitted to a 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ with a 4.0 liter 6 cylinder engine. I decided to apply some high temp paint before installing to extend the life and also to dull the very reflective surface of the stock. The installation was easy, I also replaced the exhaust pipe right away. It's designed to be clamped, but I chose to weld it on for a full seal and extra strength. I am usually very picky about exhaust tones and almost all parts for my cars but I have to say this is a great muffler for the money. It goes perfectly with my e30 and the sound is phenomenal, especially for a four cylinder e30 which is really hard to do well. The sound isn't much louder than the stock, but it's definitely more aggressive and a bit more raspy, which is definitely better and sounds great live.
