Saw immediate temperature improvement

I've been using my new nvme for a few days now and have noticed that it gets up to 65 degrees celsius at times but stays below 50 when idling. Assuming it was a halfway cheap experiment, I ordered this heatsink kit and immediately saw that the idle temp is around 40 and now rarely goes above 50. Another plus is that the temperature doesn't fluctuate much, with slower and lesser rises and falls. it is indeed a 2 pack as stated in the listing. I had no trouble tightening the elastics and they…

PS5 PERFECT RADIATOR

I bought this copper heatsink to install on my WD_ BLACK SN850 M.2 NVMe SSD which I put in my PS5 and it works great, many heatsinks started because of this everyone buys them for ps5 and this one fits the sony specs easily. It's a heavy little solid piece of copper and copper so far works best as aluminum so well seems no problem works great with a cover on just one works great and is solid copper obviously we'll go for always stay, highly recommended for PlayStation 5 M.2 SSD slot.

Pros
  • I am looking forward to
Cons
  • protection

Look no further than an inexpensive m.2 copper heatsink

This caused my Samsung Evo 970 m.2 NVME drive to drop 20 degrees Celsius. I originally sat at 80-85 with a max of 88 under the Aida64 stress test. It was so hot because my m.2 drive is on the back of an Asus Z97i-Plus Mini-ITX motherboard in a tiny case with little rear airflow. But after adding this, another thermal pad rated at 6W/mk, and pointing a 40mm Noctua fan at it, I now hit 60 degrees under load. Pretty happy with how it turned out. It fits perfectly in my Hadron Hydro case. I needed…

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • No mold required

These are not the strips you are looking for

I have a 1 piece copper heatsink and 2 strips as shown on the product page. Only instead of 2 identical groups I got 2 insanely different groups. (See my photo.) The difference between them is so great that you have to wonder how the packer missed this discrepancy. One has to ask oneself whether there is any quality control at all. Sigh. I'll wait to try the radiator until I get some usable strips.

Great for a case with cooling, but not for a laptop

I've noticed that Samsung Evo NVME drives work better without a heatsink. Putting a heatsink on one of these initially gives you a sustained speed boost or two. But then your heatsink is actually working against you because it doesn't boil as fast as an NVME drive without a heatsink - performance with a heatsink is much worse. Samsung clearly states that their drives offer their own thermal management.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not automatic

Thermal pad installed well. Includes mini cleaner and mini dry towel to prepare SSD surface. An upgrade to a higher cooler was not possible due to the built-in Soundblaster card. Tests show consistent, sustained write speeds at 10-second intervals. (over 800MB/s)

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Reliability

PS5 HEATSINK PERFECT

works great, many heatsinks started to run out because everyone bought them for PS5 and this one easily meets Sony's specs. so good no problem seems to work great. So if you're having trouble finding heatsinks that fit a PS5 with a cap, only one will work great and is solid copper. Obviously we will stay forever and highly recommend for PlayStation 5 M.2 SSD slots.

Pros
  • Includes M.2 2280 aluminum heatsink for SSD cooling + Silicone thermal pad
Cons
  • thin
