I'm sure this pillowcase will protect your pillow from dust mites, but I had and still have a problem with the fabric - it's not smooth, "catches" the pillowcase and pillow - it's tricky to put the pillow in and once you put it on it's also tricky to pull the pillowcase over it - very frustrating - enough that I'm swapping them out for another brand.

As per other reviews, not soft out of the box and domed noise when laid down. I had to wash first before using it like others have done. I was keen to use it as last winter was severe for allergies. I look forward to seeing them soften. My only concern at the moment is the durability of the zipper. It was on the outer edge, not in a case as shown in the picture. I was afraid of pulling too hard. I went to the doctor and discovered that I was allergic to dust mites. I bought them to replace all my pillowcases on my bed. This is my third purchase and I will be buying more. I love them, they get soft after washing and I make sure my pillows are completely clean and dry before covering them. I saw no problems, there were no problems. I wake up with no problems, no nose problems and no problems with chess, so I think everything is working great.

I had trouble breathing at night and woke up with a slight headache. The problems were unrelated to sleep apnea and my sinus meds worked well throughout the day. Upgraded from 3 to 4 because the stiffness has gone down and I can no longer say the case is there. It still doesn't offer the cooling effect of the gel inside, so I'm not giving it a 5. These are very good pillowcases. They are perfect for my queen pillows. This is an Eco Living Friendly ("Elf") "Evolution" model with "Evolon". After washing they are soft and made of cotton.
