This hair mask worked great. The reason for the bad rating is the scent. I'm usually very tolerant of odors in products, with the exception of one particular smell - baby powder. This scent gives me headaches and nausea. If you have this problem, you already know about it and do not want to buy this product. I have very curly, thick hair. It's always dry. I followed the curly girl method. I used to use another hair mask when I came across this one. God I'm NOT disappointed. When you open the can you immediately feel such a wonderful smell. That alone convinced me lol. This mask far exceeded my expectations. As I used it, I applied it after shampoo and conditioner. Ideal for heavy knots!

I have searched endlessly for a conditioner that would help my autistic daughter. She loves to twist her hair when she's excited and it creates super knots. I looked at about 20 products and found that ten worked great, but that's more important. The trick is. Don't wash everything off. I have very curly, thin, black hair. When I first opened the container I was blown away by the wonderful smell that I couldn't wait to use it on my hair.
