I have a hot tub nearby. My inlet line is a flexible copper tube that fits perfectly into the inlet of this filter. However, there is a polyethylene tube inside the refrigerator. I was able to flush the filter in about 5 minutes and it was easy to install. I was worried I might need some gear but I couldn't just use the fridge hose in the push fit and I used a brass threaded insert for the umbilical hose no problem. I even just screwed it to the wall to avoid touching the floor. I had to mount it on the side as my fridge is attached to the back wall and there was no space in the back.
