Good product, terrible instructions

Installation instructions vacuum. Eventually I found my own hardware, threw away their packaging and went with nuts and bolts in the joints and self tapping screws where they intended to drill and insert their threaded insert. I still don't understand how they work. There appear to be 2 support brackets in the kit, but after much research it turned out these are just "tools" for threaded inserts. Who knows how they work, but I believe they are needed for this. Overall very happy with the actual

Great price and solid construction

The product is very easy to install and surprisingly durable. Aluminum construction is lightweight and highly corrosion resistant. I used matte black paint for the grille to ensure it would stand up to the heat from the engine. The color laid very easily with minimal preparation and withstood abuse. Instead of nuts I used self tapping (zinc plated) screws and also used Loctite on the screws holding the two pieces together to make sure they don't come loose and start rattling. Very happy withโ€ฆ

Worked best in body and trim

Everything went together well. Two complaints. First, the instructions weren't that good. It came with two long reinforcement braces, but I couldn't figure out where they went. They seemed pretty strong without them, so I just didn't use them. Second, these internals do not cover the vertical slot that is between the inner hood or firewall and the outer fender just behind the tires. It kicked tons of sand, water, snow and mud off the front tires into that void where I feared the Jeep's rockersโ€ฆ

You can leave the default wings for now.

Very easy to install. Remove the lighting harness. Remove the wing attachment. Pull the wing up and out from back to front. You don't have to remove the wheels, but I can see where that can help. There is a wiring harness on the passenger side that needs to be "routed" or protected. I slipped a piece of sheet metal behind the tip of the drill and drilled a hole. Light. While waterproofing was applied to the joints. Install with standard drill bit fittings. Mount.MarkDrill.Paint.Install yourโ€ฆ
