I've had this router for over two years now and am impressed. I'm good with computers, but I'm by no means a networking expert. Comes with 2012 firmware. If you try to follow the instructions to update to the latest firmware, it doesn't work. After hours of troubleshooting and trawling through community threads (check out all the issues in the Ubiquiti community for yourself). I have found that I need to install a 2016 firmware version for it to accept the new firmware. I just can't understand why this router has so many rave reviews. First, they position it as a 5-port router. Technically yes, but after subtracting the WAN ports you actually have less than 5. Why not remap the console port to something more useful? If you're not careful, your non-PoE gear can burn out. These are not 802.3af PoE ports.
