📚 Mastering Kindergarten Reading with Educational Insights Review

I'll start by saying I love the Hot Dots Jr kits. This is my 3rd purchase and I have 3 more sets in my basket to order later today. I love the lessons in this set. Works great for my almost 4 year old son. However, I've found that the pen always says it's right and turns green even if it chooses the wrong answer. I've tried it on a few sites and it always turned green and said "good job". Luckily I have a pen that is different from one of the other sets so my son can still use it.

Update: The first one was sent back and reordered but same thing again. Just a few pages and the dog says the right answers are wrong. We haven't used it for a long time after purchasing it and now the return period for an obviously defective item has expired. So disappointing. Don't waste your money. My son got it for his birthday yesterday. He was about halfway through the first book and loved it when the dog stopped working. Now he keeps saying that no matter what he chooses, everything is…

The Hot Dots Jr. The Kids Reading Set is so exciting and my kids enjoy it! Both my 3 and 5 year olds really got into it and had great fun flipping through each page. The pen talks to you and tells you if the answer is correct or not. My youngest loves the included dog pen and my 5 year old loves the sleek silver one I bought. I used Hot Dots for my two older children ten years ago and they loved it. I just bought two sets for my two younger girls (1 Pre-K and 1 Kindergarten). We ordered this set for our 4 year old and are very happy with it. We put batteries in the Ace and ran it and it worked great. Ace has 2 buttons on the front that you can use to control the volume and choose whether to talk, play sounds or both. For us, that's a big plus, because you often can't "keep still" a noisy toy.
