Review on 📚 Mastering Kindergarten Reading with Educational Insights by John Butler

We ordered this set for our 4 year old and are very happy with it. We put batteries in the Ace and ran it and it worked great. Ace has 2 buttons on the front that you can use to control the volume and choose whether to talk, play sounds or both. For us, that's a big plus, because you often can't "keep still" a noisy toy. The set also includes 2 books. The books were sealed in the box and Ace was covered with a protective sleeve. When we opened and reviewed the books we were a bit disappointed with the quality of craftsmanship. Book One deals with letter recognition, upper and lower case, and beginning and ending sounds. Those are all skills our son has mastered, so this book isn't that useful for us. Book 2 covers short vowels, aspect words, color words, number words, and also includes a section with long vowel problems and correct capitalization and punctuation. Book 2, where our son works, is more appropriate for us. Overall, the content is well put together and has good skill development. We are happy with the purchase and would have given 5 stars if both books were of a higher level of craftsmanship.
