Not like in the photo. suitable for hand tools

Didn't get the hammer pictured, I have one with the head held by epoxy. I would just send it back but I need a hammer. I know from experience that epoxies usually suck. I bought it thinking it was the one in the photo.

I'm impressed: Hammers

Now I don't know all about tools but this one is a keeper. I bought this hammer to install a complicated wheel on my computer chair. After several hours of doing everything in my power to shove the wheel in the chair, I felt like I was losing the battle until this hammer arrived in the mail. With just one hit, the bike went straight into the computer chair without any problems.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Only available in black

Hammer in itself is good, however.

The 16oz hammer was packaged in a paper envelope that was lightly bubble wrapped. Delivered and left out in the rain. Imagine my horror when I picked it up and the envelope and hammer suddenly fell out of the envelope and landed right on my foot! I don't think anything is broken but I'm sure I'll be limp and swollen and black and blue for a few more days.

  • Confident

I wanted a hammer like Grandpa's

Hey I needed a different hammer and thought I might look for a hammer with a wooden handle. You know, like grandfather. Nothing beats a tool with a wooden handle. Maybe just because I grew up with the men in my family who gave me tools like this while teaching me. The head will fall off, yes, eventually. But if you want an old-school hammer, you can handle it. The hammer I received was very nice. Everything is bright and shiny and feels comfortable. And guess what, it worked like a hammer with…

Not as shown and already damaged

We spent a lot of time looking for a decent hammer that wouldn't break the bank. I won't be using it every day so I don't need to invest in something like Estwing, but I plan to use it a few times a week. I am very disappointed that the head was not attached as shown in the photo. He shows a well-fitting handle with a wedge to keep it in place. On the one I received, the handle is too short and too narrow to fit on the head. Large gaps were filled with resin or epoxy. This hammer might be fine…

  • Absolutely amazing!

1st hammer is broken, 2nd is perfect

The first hammer I received had a slight play between the metal head and the wooden handle. This was because the glue that joined the two pieces had dried and cracked leaving a small piece that eventually came loose. Luckily I didn't really need a hammer so I planned on a simple return/exchange for the Revain and the replacement I received was perfect. No backlash and very strong hammer. I used it to drive nails around the house and install wooden furniture. I think it will last a very long…

IF YOU JUST WANT A HAMMER!

When you need a hammer but don't need all those fancy handles and extra long handles, the Edward Tools 16 oz Oak Claw Hammer is the hammer you need for all your everyday uses . The handle is extremely strong and the quality is top notch among all the mallets I have used. The ONLY thing I see that could be improved a bit is that the grip function could be a bit deeper so the hand can hold it better. The engraving handle should be about 1/32 inch lower on either side of the handle to allow the…

You can get a good hammer

In fairly typical fashion I was asked to review something I didn't have but it was about a small business, how to get started and the importance of reviews. Well, I was hoping to get something that someone really cares about and looks at critically when putting it together. I have a hammer to find disappointment. The wedge was inserted from the side and mostly into the head of the hammer itself. There is so much damage to the wood around the wedge that I'm not sure if the hammer was handled…
