Attaches to the metal dashboard of the VW Thing. Instead of gluing it directly to the metal, I attached it to a heavy-duty magnet. That way I can remove it to change batteries or change its position. Love it! get chrome. I didn't want anything that would glow at me in the dark. It will only be visible in the presence of light.

This looked just like what I needed to put on my boat dashboard as digital clocks don't work well in the hot sun. Instead of a simple bar that you pull out to stop and set the clock, it has a bar that slides sideways. It was difficult to use and I finally gave up. Should have saved my money. Someone in China thought they had a better idea. Not correct.

The hands are light gray or silver and difficult to see on a white background. It's very hard to read at a glance when you're driving. Hands should be black and large enough to see better. That seems pretty accurate. Can't comment on the glue as I used my own 3m double sided tape which holds it very securely.

Bought to easily read the time on the bathroom mirror. I made it detachable by adding velcro on the back. It works great for what I needed and feels solid which makes me think it's not just a discarded item. One star deducted because the battery lasted just over 7 months. I expected a battery life similar to that of a wrist watch, ie at least a year. The seller suggests taking it to a jeweler for a battery change, which means it's likely to be thrown away if the battery ends up dead.

I bought this to tell the time in the dark at night. No amount of light makes it glow at night. Using my Timex watch as a reference, the Timex will glow all night if exposed to the same amount of light for the same amount of time as the watch. There is no illumination of any kind or amount for any length of time with any exposure to light. It just doesn't have the glowing ability. So I'm sending it back which is very frustrating as I feel like the product description misled me. Other than that,
