Rugged little switches.

They are a good size and have a nice feel. The indicator light is bright and the action is solid. The switch itself is asymmetrical, depending on how you wire it, the "on" or "off" position will feel more "natural" aesthetically. A center pin electrically connected to one side when the switch is in one position and to the other side in the other position, unlike the smaller round variants of this family which have two pins and a ground pin for light. This may change the electrical behavior ofโ€ฆ

Works partially, but difficult to connect. LED not working

Well... the terminals are too thick and too close together. So after I created my "plug-in terminals" and wires for the switch, I couldn't remove the mounting ring from the switch because the insulated terminals are now too thick. The heat shrink tubing I installed to prevent short circuits made it impossible to remove the mounting ring and/or pull the mounting shaft (with wires attached) through the hole I drilled in the panel for this. (For logistical reasons, my project has to be done withโ€ฆ

Why different schemes? Whoever designed it is an idiot, whoever built it is an idiot.

I wanted to use these switches in a project but had constant problems with short circuits and LEDs not working. I could get one working, but plugging in the other could cause problems. I then disassembled one and my problems became clear. Looks like it's another switch that has been repurposed. First, the description is completely wrong. These are NOT SPST switches, these are SPDT switches. See the exploded view of one of them above. These are clearly on/off switches, with the center contactโ€ฆ
