Hooks work relatively well. I use it on the outside of my cube which is in the corner. I managed to knock over both hangers and items hanging directly from hooks. This shouldn't have happened and wouldn't have happened if the hooks were deeper or not as smooth. But since I have little traffic in the curve, everything is fine.

I have searched many vendors for coat hooks that fit the 3-1/2 inch dividers used in our office. The ones found in most offices, supply points are only suitable for thinner partitions, they also look good and fit well, they are heavily built and I expect they will last for many years.

This hook was bigger than it looked, but it wasn't a problem. The problem was that the box appeared to have been opened before and was missing the screw holding the two pieces together to rest on top of the cube wall, as well as the instruction manual. **EDIT** I went back to double check the packaging before throwing it away just in case and the screw and instruction manual fell out of the product box and into the shipping box.
