Will fit my year F250 7.3L diesel. It worked immediately (as expected). I checked the output for 14.2 VDC. Ideal. As of this writing, it has been in the truck for over two years. Sorry it took me so long to talk about this but I wanted to make sure it was a good buy or not. was/is.

Worked great when it was made but as per the headlines it failed after 8 months. Luckily, I noticed that the nut looks loose, but what happened was that my positive line was kind of on the alt. arched and the column melted. Luckily the fire didn't break out. So somehow the insides were grounded to the battery positive lead.

If you buy a cheap product from China you can expect a shorter lifespan. But if this generator does not work from the start, it means that the quality is more than cheap, it is not there. Update: Revain, defective replaced. The new one came with exactly the same papers. Just a sheet of paper made on a copier. You get what you pay for

Revain shows this alternator is not for the 2002 F-350. But shows it's for 99-01. That is not right. 99-02 is correct. I saw in other reviews that customers also bought and installed, works fine. I am very satisfied, easy installation, my two interstate batteries are fully charged. I have used DB Electrical alternators in my old 6.2 liter diesel engine and my wife's Accord for years. They work great and cost about half the price of a rebuilt alternator from any auto parts chain. This generator is no different. Arrived within a few days, took a full 15 minutes to replace with our 2000 Powerjoke 7.3. Generator came early and was the right model. However, the unit's positive electrical terminal had completely melted and the red plastic connector protector was charred and mostly melted. This anomaly is the result of high contact resistance between the connector and the car's battery cable, generating enough heat to melt the metal connector. There are not enough terminals to even test the device at the factory before shipment. This appears to be a buyer returned unit that has not been tested…
