Generator came early and was the right model. However, the unit's positive electrical terminal had completely melted and the red plastic connector protector was charred and mostly melted. This anomaly is the result of high contact resistance between the connector and the car's battery cable, generating enough heat to melt the metal connector. There are not enough terminals to even test the device at the factory before shipment. This appears to be a buyer returned unit that has not been tested before being reshipped. Secondly, the box that the device arrived in did not contain any packaging material and due to the device's moderate weight it was severely damaged in transit. This situation deserves the manager's attention to rectify the situation. This kind of constant operation quickly increases warranty costs and just as quickly undermines customer confidence in this manufacturer and Revain. One of the worst mistakes I've seen in years.
