like the other guy said the bottom bracket is broken right at the o ring. It must have been an extraordinarily awful party.

They work or they don't.

Not even an hour has passed. I'm sure if I had been aware of the return policy they would have said the right thing, but I missed the point. I bought one that has been fine for a year. Then me and 2 other friends bought a DB and 2 didn't work right away only one worked. A trip or two

Gasket - scrap, bulged sideways from factory - caused failure

has been on the water about 10 times in 2 years and now it's fried. It was completely soaked inside, disassembled, cleaned of oil and reassembled. The lead on a negative brush came loose so I stuck it under the spring and held it for another 6 hours. It's coming out now. When I disassembled it, two seals stuck out on the side, so that after 2 years a lot of water got into the housing. Oh well.

Maybe good, maybe not, it's gambling.

DB Electric staff were great, they sent a second starter (for both) after the first one took no more than 2 days. I ordered 2 of these at the same time, both had the same problem. The company was tolerable with 5 stars. They sent a replacement without batting an eyelid. and the bushings are of soft bronze, because it's generally a bad design. That there is evidence of seawater intrusion, most likely due to a boat trip which could cause more damage. The bottom line here is that it's an image to…
