Electrolux EL012B Electro Filter Package Review

The perfect solution for my Electrolux vacuum cleaner. It's very easy to change. It cannot be washed, so over time you will need to replace it, just like you would replace an air conditioner filter.

The filter came without a box, just wrapped in bubble wrap. It looks like the right type and was clean but without the box we wonder if it's fake. Since the photo showed a box, I expected the product to arrive in a box.

The items delivered do not match what is advertised on the site. they are not original and do not come in the original packaging! These are cheap replacement parts, slightly different in size from the original. They came without a box and were not labeled like the original part.

I have an Electrolux Ultraactive vacuum cleaner and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find parts and filters. Electrolux stopped selling vacuum cleaners in the US a few years ago, here's why. I was lucky enough to find this compatible Electrolux HEPA filter so it comes factory fitted and is fully compatible with my vacuum. I hope to have a few years of it.

Until I started ordering this item I didn't know that the HEPA filter that came with the vacuum is washable. I ordered that we have a spare filter anyway, then washed the original filter and let it dry overnight, which (obviously) worked great. I bought this filter (January 2014) as a replacement filter in our factory refurbished Electrolux EL6988E-R Oxygen Vacuum Tank (white) - purchased in July 2011. Perfect for my Electrolux UltraFlex upright vacuum and also because it can be washed with water (a lot of people don't realize this as it's a bit counterintuitive) it's a good buy too , unless you abuse it by trying to "wipe it off" in the wash: instead, just rinse each side with lukewarm or hot running water, then let dry.
