Great promotion but shows inches to tenths instead of 16

Very good item, within reason. The only downside is that it measures inches in tenths, so it would be a great addition to include a fractions conversion chart. Tenths (and hundredths) are fine for precision work and metric measurements, but that's the target price for Joe Home's workbench, and we're working in fractional English, mostly using 16ths.

holes in the metal. Too light for steel. High error.

The metal is poorly cast with holes right at the tips of the calipers. In the photo he likes to read -0.03 mm. And this time the picture turned out to be 0.05 mm at the zero point, it does not slide smoothly and jams. I have to loosen the screw to get through some points. Poorly finished due to poorly cast metal. Scuffs aren't polished, too light. I've used these countless times at work, but they're too light. Maybe aluminum. Cheap and disappointing.

Poor quality, you get what you pay for.

When setting to zero, when you adjust the stop screw, the dimensions change. It reads 0.000 when closed and resting on my desk, but when I pick it up it oscillates between -0.01mm and -0.03mm before I even use the slider. At the moment it is lying untouched on my desk and fluctuates between -0.01 mm and 0.00 mm. Setting it down returns zero. If you open it to a dimension, you can't trust that dimension because it won't reset to zero when you close it. Moving the slider painfully slowly makes me
