Happy with this device.

I needed to send a fax and most systems don't come with a modem. I saw this device and ordered it for my PC. Installation and configuration were successful. Send out some practice faxes. Once I became familiar with my fax program, it was very easy.

Easy to install, works perfectly

The data transfer speed has doubled on my old (circa 2009) HP desktop PC compared to using the original USB 2.0 ports. I've entered an empty slot on a PCIe motherboard with no problems. Windows 10 didn't recognize the new ports at first, but I found a driver online (circa 2004) and installed it and haven't had any issues since. I am happy with this purchase.

Dual Port PCIE USB 3.0 Card Painless Plug-n-Play for Win 10 and Linux Ubuntu

A simple addition to add more USB 3.0 ports to my old desktop computer. Plug-n-Play for Windows 10 (and Win 8, no driver needed) and Linux Ubuntu. Includes a driver disk for Windows XP and 7. Includes a small form factor PCI backplate for these machines.

I supplied this for a customer so that he could have a separate controller for his Oculus Quest 2 VR headset. We are very happy with it.

Does not work with internal components

Windows 10 manual says not to install driver from CD. Device Manager showed an exclamation mark on the newly found USB host controller. Rebooted, checked Windows updates for new drivers, no updates found. Tried installing the drivers from the CD anyway (which was difficult given the many options and lack of instructions), no improvement. The driver download website is useless as well. Waste of time and money, avoid it.
