My original HP laptop charger stopped working after only 18 months. I needed a suitable replacement at a competitive price and with a good warranty period. This PSU didn't work. I have used it on my new HP Pavilion with no success. It was from time to time. It charged for a few seconds, then didn't charge for a few seconds, then charged for a while. It was like a short circuit in the connection. It was useless. UPDATE: They sent me a free replacement charger and it worked great. I didn't ask for a replacement but this company voluntarily provided one and the new charger arrived quickly. I was impressed.

This is a good charger but the connector may be too small as it can be easily detached. The jacketed portion of the cable (surge protector?) has gotten dangerously hot in the last two weeks. I've tried plugging it into an outlet and surge protector with no change. I disconnected the lamp from the strip and that seems to have helped. I'm not sure if that's a long-term solution. Be careful with it in bed etc. Watch your temperature.
