One is already broken, as others say.

A thumb rest would be nice. The block feels solid and strong. One of the two already has a broken spring (?) and is therefore unusable. Is it possible to somehow open up the block to reattach the spring, assuming it was only loosened and not broken? I will see how long another one takes before requesting a refund.

One pair is perfect the other is awful

I always have a pair of these to sew with, they are a must have. My husband is a fisherman so thought this would be a great Father's Day gift that would make his line baits much quicker and easier to make. I lost my perfect purchase, right? Not correct! I took one for myself. Ideal. Bored him and couldn't believe the difference. Blunt with 3 ridges. They are also"closed". Kept them but bought him a much nicer set.

I liked it 9 days and then the spring broke

I was happy when I got the first time, the price was right and I got 2! These scissors had sharp blades and worked great. The stainless steel scissors looked good. I made 700 face masks and it helped a lot. Easy to use and right size. I have previously bought very expensive black scissors that were just as sharp as these Wescott scissors but they were bigger and heavier which made them awkward to use so I was glad to see these Wescott scissors and the price was right . The perfect pair of scissors for any sewing project and a must-have for quilters.

The tape on the scissors box was torn so I knew the contents were compromised. To my disappointment, one of the scissors was not activated by the spring. I had the correct order of opening a broken pair of scissors to find the spring had been misplaced in the case and secured like new. The scissors are very sharp and precise when tightening the connecting screw. As these are very heavy shears made from strong steel I don't see how they can break with a few sharpening and last a lifetime. They…
