Disappointing Automotive Engine Mount

As a result of my tests, I determined that this motor mount did not live up to the hype. While it did improve the handling of my car slightly, it created a noticeable increase in vibrations and harshness. The installation process was also more difficult than expected, which only added to my frustration with this product. Overall, I would not recommend the Energy Suspension mount for those looking to enhance their performance car's engine.

Pros
  • Slightly improved handling
Cons
  • Increased vibrations and harshness, difficult installation

Essential for 4.3 S10/Blazer owners

This is a must if you have a second generation S10 or Blazer with a 4.3 liter engine, don't waste your time doing anything else. You will notice a bit of feedback from the engine in the car, but that's the only downside I can point out.

Pros
  • Engine Mount

'98 Chevy Blazer ZR2 4.3L

Replaces both broken bearing brackets. Jack up the car and remove the front wheels. You will need to access the motor mounts through the fender arch and to a lesser extent from below. An engine jack will make the job easier, but it can probably be done with a few blocks and bottle jacks. Do the driver's side first. It has all the brake lines in its path and that's the problem. This way you will be satisfied with how fast it goes when doing the passenger side. Definitely a more reliable product…
