Based on my experience, this gasket is a complete waste of money. After only a few weeks of installation, it started disintegrating and caused a major oil leak. The only pro is that it was easy to install, but that's not worth sacrificing the longevity and reliability of my car. Overall, I do not recommend this gasket for anyone looking for quality performance car parts and accessories for their vehicle.

The quality of this part is very sad. It looks the same, fits the same, but after a few heating cycles the cap becomes weak and flexible resulting in a huge oil leak! In fact, you can move the lid by pressing on it, which causes the gasket to move.

looks aren't everything. It looks and feels like an OEM replacement, but it's not. I had to rip this thing out and replace it with a genuine VW part due to oil leaks that cannot be repaired. The plastic is thin and will deform and shrink over time with heat. It's a pity that I only found out about this late and too late to come back to it again. The supplied rubber seal is also scrap. It gets hard after a while. Don't buy this. Buy a genuine OEM part from VW or pick up a used one.
