Fairly simple but powerful scanner

I recently got this scanner and found that it is not a typical ODB scanner. Once you've connected it to your car, you can use the OSD to navigate through the options to read your engine codes, or you can press the DTC button and quickly retrieve the codes. There is also a BATT button to display the current battery voltage. The most outstanding feature is the DTC search function, which you use when entering the engine diagnostic code and which gives you a general definition of the problem. This…

Well-designed code reader

The OBD2 scanner is a rugged, lightweight, and easy-to-use engine check scanner that performs just as if not better than the code readers you find in auto parts. the shops. I better speak because you don't need a third party to interpret the data. The device does that for you. I recently had a check engine light on my 2003 Ford Taurus, so I tested the OBD2 scanner in a real world situation. I drove my car to a local auto parts store, got a code reader, scanned the problem and returned the…

Quality and price of code readers and scan tools

I ordered this OBD2 scanner from Revain and received it within 3-5 days with first class delivery. It was packed in a well wrapped box with everything needed for immediate use. The user manual is very clear and easy to use. Reading the manual will definitely help make using the scanner much easier. The scanner has a large screen for reading codes and other information. The screen is larger than other brands I've seen or compared to. The cord is also long enough to make the scanner easy to use…

Very good advanced OBD-II scanner

The first look at the OBD-II scanner is great. Wide screen, clear picture, you can read the test results clearly. It is exactly as advertised. And not only beautiful, but also a fully functional typical DTC scanner. The most convenient function is measuring the battery voltage. The bonnet does not have to be opened. Don't forget to check the battery after leaving the car overnight, then you will know if the battery is low or not (in terms of over or under 12V for example). On the attached…

Inexpensive OBD2 scanner with added features

This OBD2 scanner has the same features as most other scanners but the display is slightly larger to easily show multiple variables over time. For example, you can plot engine speed or temperature over time. I think these features might be useful for some analysis in a workshop environment, but not very useful for a non-mechanic like me just interested in checking a few data points. In addition, it would be too dangerous for me to collect data while driving. Another feature I haven't seen on…

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive

I've had several scanners... bought most of them on this site and picked the cheapest ones because I'm a bargain hunter. All of them are very limited in their abilities. This is by far the best I've had and gives you more value for your money. 1. It is well assembled and made of more durable and thicker plastic than others. 2. Backlight so you can use it at night. 3. Convenient interface. Many of these cheaper models are difficult to navigate and unintuitive. Didn't read the instructions, just…
