Enkay - Premium 🔵 Extra-Fine Blue All-Purpose Polishing Compound (1Lb) Review

This item may be old and dry. I read good reviews about this item and after receiving it it felt too dry and hard. Wouldn't buy again and need to look elsewhere!

Mirror shine with this material! This stuff is very dry but on a whim I used Remington gun oil/thinner on the fabric and it smeared quite a bit all over the fabric with one wipe. Healed my Walther P22 by polishing the shutter friction surfaces. Now he shoots even the worst cartridges with no problems!

I have this blue all purpose polish 1 lb. Purchased from Enkay Products to polish glass and plastic items to a mirror finish. I work well with patience and some time. All of the polishes I've done require training along with a good product. This is a good product so just expect this job to take time and patience. Go light and slow and you should get good results from the medium speed buff.

As previously mentioned, this product is hard and dry. I thought the other reviewers probably had "old", dry stock. I was hoping to get a "fresh" bar with the consistency of Dove soap and be able to apply it easily to a 5 inch diameter wool felt ("Velcro") polishing pad. But it wasn't like that. The buffing pad on the rod has just formed blue dust with little or no blue material attached to the buffing pad itself. As of the current year 2017, this material costs well under $1 an ounce, almost the same price I paid in April 2014. I see a lot of complaints here about this blue blush (heh) being very dry, crumbly and more difficult to work with than real jewel blush. I totally agree with these dissenters on these specific properties of this compound; anyway, one might wonder how it differs from Enkay's own oily jewelry blush and green stainless steel polishes (as well as Woodstock and a few others).
