Our dog wears his life vest at all times on the boat, and whenever he is in the water. It gives him more confidence when swimming and it gives me confidence that when he jumps off of the paddle board that he is totally fine. This may be more expensive than some other vests out there but the quality is great and you really can’t put a price on your dogs safety. This is our 2nd Ruffwear life jacket for this dog. I thought the last one was good, this is definitely better. Thicker and fuller under the chin does add buoyancy and helps keep the dogs head up. Wow. The most sturdy vest we found. Most vests you can pull the clips apart with a light tug, not good for trying to yank your dog out of the water. These clips are sturdy and don't come apart. Looked at many different styles of life jackets. Decided to go with this one. Tried it on both my dogs to see which one it fit best and it works on both with very different body types. My older lab was very comfortable wearing this right away. He was much more relaxed swimming for long periods. He likes to stay in the water with us and doesn't like to take breaks. I would recommend this jacket to everyone.

We got this for our lab (ya I know, labs know how to swim very well) we can toss the toy and she will always retrieve. This jacket helps keep her a float better when she’s getting tired and the bright color is noticeable in the water.

I have a 59 lb black lab and I ordered her a large. It fits perfect. The best part is the attachment under her chest. It's like a human vest! It does not have a velcro strap like many of the others. The velcro holds in sand and partial grass & weeds that itched her last year.

I ordered the medium for my 50 lb heeler mix and it fits her well. She can swim well, but having the extra floatation and handle on the back is great for teaching her to paddle board. She’s big enough that getting her back on after she falls/jumps off would be really difficult. She doesn’t seem to mind wearing it and can move comfortably.

This is a very well-made coat but my 12 pound Chihuahua did not like it because it was too bulky and she couldn’t lay down on my paddleboard in it. Other than that it is a well made coat.

This does the job. Keeps my dog afloat, she doesn’t seem to mind it, and it’s easy to put on and takeoff. That's my feedback.

Great life jacket for my fur baby! It’s easy for her move around and swim in. Love how it has the Velcro for the unused part of the strap to get that up out of the way. We got a large for out 65lb golden and it fits perfect!

We have an 18 mo old English Bulldog and this life jacket definitely helps keep him from sinking like a rock. It seems to be comfortable for him and also durable. It helps me relax knowing he’s safe.
