Uses this switch in DC25. Identical to the old one, so the fit was easy and straight forward. Only 3 screws need to be loosened. This is a common replacement (not like the picture) but is working well so far. The price seems to vary, I paid less than $5

seen online video showing how to remove a few screws and replace the power button. This is easy, although the video showed the wrong number and position of the screws. No tools are required other than a Phillips screwdriver.

This switch was just what I needed for my Dyson after the original power switch failed. Installation took a few minutes after delivery and my vacuum cleaner is working again. The perfect spare part. If your Dyson won't turn on, look at the switch and if it looks like it, buy it. It is very easy to install. My vacuum's switch pad was held in place by just two screws. Just make sure you unplug your vacuum first before trying this fix!

Same goes for reviews that say the item is not as pictured. The product fits and works (so far) which is why I gave it 2 stars, but it has no branding or electrical specs so one can only guess if it is rated for electrical load. The description says the brand is 'universal' but you would expect at least minimal branding. I'm usually cautious when checking reviews and sellers, but I just got chilled when I saw that the picture was exactly what was already in the vacuum. Buyer Warning.

This is almost false advertising. The picture clearly shows the original Dyson Switch. Unfortunately, you get a completely ordinary reddish switch with no markings.
