There may be good and bad

Had the same issue as several other reviews. When installing the included QD air line fitting into the handle, the back of the handle separated before it was even remotely seated. Light to medium hand pressure, turning the wrench instead of turning it like crazy. There must be either a casting defect or an internal thread (possibly not deep enough). Will try to permanently seal JB and use it anyway (actually had success with it) wasn't worth the hassle of sending it back. Also just worthโ€ฆ

Good inflator, bad readings.

In general, I like the inflator. I've been using it to inflate truck and RV tires for several months. The reason for only three stars is that I've found that the gauge isn't always accurate. I filled in today and it showed 65psi, put another gauge on it and it showed 78psi? I've tried several times and got the same reading. I tapped the gauge (gently) a few times with my fingertip and it jumped to 78-80psi. The needle seems to get stuck from time to time. Not the end of the world because Iโ€ฆ

Works for me on a tire and wheel tool

It was heavier than I expected, leading me to believe it's built a little stronger than I thought it would be. It's perfect for a home environment, definitely not a professional one. I can't imagine the sensor surviving more than one drop. I didn't list anything about it, but it does have a deflation valve in case you over-inflate your tires. The cartridge for mounting on the valve stems is OK. The release lever on the chuck was interfering with the wheels on my wife's car. It also doesn't seal

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • No performance

Update: I've had it for about 9 months and have used it maybe 20 times. 1- Now the quick connector will bleed air unless I hold it and apply downward pressure. O-ring/rubber seal worn out? Too early for leaks! 2- The hose is TOO short. In fact, the hose is rated for BP 2400psi. IMO, a manufacturer can drop the psi rating and add 6-12 inches without having to change the price. 3- The connection between the hose and the handle is NOT a standard size (e.g. 1/4"NPT). Works very well overall

I really like this tire pressure gauge, it's very easy to use and I like that it shows the tire pressure when you inflate it. Overall I give 4 out of 5 stars. There are two reasons I took a star off this review: Cons 1: The connector that came with this tire gauge is cheap and I couldn't even get it to stop the air leak after thread sealing tape. Do yourself a favor and purchase a quality set of connectors. I bought a set of 8 quick disconnects from Sungator from Revain. Makes this tire gaugeโ€ฆ

It's very nice, I like it!

I lost my tire inflation connector and decided to buy another one. I stumbled upon this tool that contained an inflation tool and a pressure gauge in one. There are several others to choose from, but this one had one of the best prices and a size range closer to my needs. I don't have anything that requires pressurization over 120psi, although it might be warranted if you have a road bike with high pressure tires (some other tire inflators come with a 200psi gauge). - Connecting rod compatibleโ€ฆ

Facilitates filling and pressure adjustment

This should make it easier to check/adjust the tires on our van before driving. The actual pressure value is important to me, but more importantly all tires are the same. I haven't officially tested the accuracy, but it seems close enough for my needs. The part that goes over the valve stem is a little tricky, I haven't quite mastered the technique to get it right the first time, but once you get it on it becomes super easy. The ability to add air, check the pressure and deflate if needed isโ€ฆ

Bad sensor, stay was good.

I bought this inflator because I wanted something with a locking connector. It arrived and seemed well made for the price. I liked the feel of the device and the fact that it inflated the tires quickly. The shut-off hose also worked well. I immediately noticed that after the first use the pressure gauge reading was off by 10psi. I was tempted to save it and just calculate the problem with the gauge, but the next time I used it it turned out to be 20psi. The gauge will read 20psi when not inโ€ฆ
