Works great in my Yamaha Rhino 06 660

Works great. Some changes were required, but many have done it before me and were willing to share ideas. Thanks to them, the sensors work great and give me an idea of what the engine is doing. I don't want to wait for the stupid light and then get stuck on the way back.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Great measurement set for the price.

Fit these to my '88 Mustang, installation is easy but the control wire could be a bit longer and the red/blue/green bulb caps are not needed. should not be used. The included transparent bulb doesn't glare at all, the sensors are accurate and work as they should. I would buy them for another car if I had the need.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Updates available

Water Temp Sensor Rods

Installed 3 sets of sensors on my rebuilt Ford truck. They look good, installation is relatively easy, everything works fine except the water temp gauge sometimes gets stuck until the engine is up to 190 degrees and then the needle suddenly jumps up. It doesn't happen all the time. It works correctly 50% of the time. I don't want to withdraw everything and send it back for a long time!

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Empty

Bought and installed in 2012

Works well overall after almost 10 years. The inner plastic ring around the voltmeter dial is torn into several pieces but still works. I think the plastic has decomposed from the heat. I have a 78 gram body where the motor is rigidly mounted to the frame, more vibration. Building seems good if you want to save a few bucks. install carefully. Auto Meter is the gold standard for big $$$ builds.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Thumbs up! in spares

This is the first time I have bought Equus sensors and I have to say that these sensors fully justified their price. I live in Australia and the delivery was very fast. These sensors are mechanical, which I prefer electronic, and very easy to install. They also come with all the necessary hardware that fits most cars I can think of. They have good quality in appearance for the price and are very accurate. Money well spent in my opinion. I've attached a few photos.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

Decent sensors for the price

Installed a set of these on my 83 F250 6.9 diesel. They were packaged well, everything was included and installation was easy. I used the plastic oil hose that came with it. For me there are only two downsides. First, while the mounting ring on the sensor is a great idea, it doesn't quite match the door jamb. Secondly, the bulb's small rubber caps almost do not transmit light, and there is a dark spot at the bottom of the scale. The lights look great during the day but not so good at night. I…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

These sensors are all made of plastic, including the lenses, which scratch when rubbed with a cloth. The mounting system is a giant plastic nut threaded around the entire gauge on the back and makes mounting difficult in a few locations on the dash. It might be fine on a three-hole panel under the dash, but with limited access it's almost impossible to tighten the mounting nuts enough. My gauges spin a bit because I can't tighten them enough. The temperature needle reacts to a cold start for a…

Pros
  • Handy item

  • So far, so good
