    EXCELLENT ARTICLE! in Ice & Snow grips

    They're a GREAT addition to winter gear! They are not as good on ice as metal spikes. But they stick to the ground and don't destroy it. And you won't slip/fall inside either. Worth it!

    Ideal for metal roofs

    They fit snugly in my work boots. I'm often on the roof and where normal work shoes don't grip things stick amazingly well, even in the early hours of the morning when the metal is still wet with dew. Highly recommended!

    Good but runs small

    Good product runs a little small I have a size 10 shoe and it doesn't fit well, sorry I didn't choose a size 11+. As for snow and ice, they work well, not as well as cleats, but they don't tear anything and I don't fall on my butt from wearing cowboy boots.

    The seams are damaged, this could lead to injuries.

    Very disappointing! I figured since it had the Michelin name on it they would be great. Unfortunately, after just a few days, the stitching came loose on both and in the same places. As soon as the stitching came loose, the rubber started rolling underfoot, resulting in a fall.

    They help a lot on snow but not so much on ice

    They help a lot on snow, not so much on ice. Mine were pretty easy to put on and take off, but I did notice that they shift on the shoe as you walk. I can look down and see that it has shifted left or right. Perhaps a smaller size would make it look smaller, but it can be extremely difficult to put on over shoes. Just be aware in time.

    I also have protective caps with screws that can be changed underneath. But if you're going somewhere on a freezing day when it's appropriate to walk through a spiked establishment, this is a great alternative. So I think I'm a men's size 9.5 to 11 or something like that. I wear women's 11 or men's 9.5. They just fit over my shoes and didn't need to be tightened.     I live in Seattle and travel PNW quite a bit. I have several pairs of microstuds and a yak rail. When I saw them I was very interested but also skeptical. "Looks like it's just a hiking boot sole," but I was curious. They totally work! So I took a close look at them to try and explain how they work.     I live in Massachusetts where it gets very cold. And with real winter comes real warm/freeze cycles and ice and the dangers that come with it.     Useful and exactly as advertised - I wear them every time I shovel

    First, they don't get in the way of slipping on ice. They also never say they won't let you slip on the ice. Rather, they increase traction on ice and you slip less. If you need something to keep you from sliding on ice, you need something with metal spikes, springs, or spikes to dig into the ice.
