I should have bought these years ago.

This is something I've wanted to buy for years but kept putting off. With a new bike this year, I figured it had finally taken longer to get them. More comfort, more power and significantly more hand positions. I was riding drop bar road bikes when I passed away, but I don't really like leaning forward. Well, my back isn't, so my new road bike has flat bars. Riding while holding onto the curves of the handlebars or sideboards has been one of my favorite places for many years. They give me that…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

So these grips were more expensive than other similar grips but usually the price matches the quality. After 2 rides I got a new bike I was waiting for. I switched the handlebars to a new bike and while the right handlebars worked fine, the left handlebars became loose/weakened regardless of resetting the handlebars. I have requested an exchange or replacement for the left grip and was evaluated based on value for money. If I can get a working replacement without too much fuss, I'll agree…

Very good product and worth the money for the relief it provides.

Ergon GP5 Clamps are excellent for reducing tingling/numbness in individuals suffering from conditions such as carpal tunnel problems or tendonitis. But if, like me, your hand numbness extends beyond what is characteristic of carpal tunnel syndrome or tendonitis, the grips may not be quite up to par. However, for me, even with partial relief, they were worth the cost. And despite some reviewers' comments, I found them easy to install and fairly reliable when installed correctly, without…

Worth every penny to ride with no pain in your hands!

I recently bought them and they have changed my driving style a lot. Having tried several different holds in this style from other companies which only offered an extra 10-15 minutes of comfort before the tingling/numbness set in, I was a little skeptical but took a chance and was glad I did. Now I can ride. for much longer periods; My longest was 2 hours with no evidence of pain. The horns are great for resting, climbing and dismounting as they don't move or give when actually pushed and…

Great grips for numb hands

I just installed these on my 80lb adventure ebike and they have been fantastic. The bike and I are both tall and this allows me to switch arm and body positions and adjust my grip frequently during my frequent 2-3 hour rides. As my bike is unusually large the GP5 handlebar doesn't stand out, looks snazzy as it could be on a full sized bike but it's all about comfort and utility anyway and this handlebar offers both better than anything else, what i saw They're expensive, but given my 400-500…

Good grips when exercising

Good grips but like the other reviewer I also encountered 2 situations where one of the grips fell off while riding. While this might seem like a trivial question, it definitely isn't as you tend to have a grip dependent combination of upper body weight and steering and I almost fell over. I've since tightened the handles and they seem to be holding. While I liked the idea of putting the hands on the group's extra upper mass, in practice this creates a dagger effect that causes the handles to…

Expensive compared to others but wait they are the best!

great pens, this is my third set! Two GP3s and now these GP5s. They are on my 2021 Specialized Sirrus 5.0 X and have changed my ride and comfort in many ways. They're hard to find and yes, they ship from the UK and sell worldwide! and they are pricey but worth every damn penny shilling loons and koala if that's your thing lol. In any case, make sure "big" is your item with larger hands, as the rubber grip is thicker and smaller hands will need a thinner grip. . Also the trim length of the…

I wanted to like them

So I wanted to like them, I really have but I'm completely amazed by their design. First I bought Ergon - GA3, and after a few days I saw Gp5 and wanted to wear them. On the GA3, the clamp bolt is on the opposite side of the lug (ie, 6 inches apart on the handlebar). So when you tighten it, it makes sense that it stays tight. The GP5 has the clamp screw at the end of the handlebar. I'm pretty sure the Hulk couldn't have tightened it tighter than I did and with a little effort they loosened up…

Very comfortable and helps with numb hands

I have a hybrid/comfort bike for evening and weekend training. I already have a couple of large extended-grip holds; but after 15-20 minutes of driving there was still numbness in the hands. I upgraded my gloves to an OutdoorMaster Half Finger with a cushioning gel pad and it has allowed me to last up to 30-40 minutes before the numbness kicks in. The Ergon GP5 has a large palm rest to distribute pressure and I love the grips to change hand position for added comfort without sacrificing bike…
