Review on Ergon GP5 Ergonomic Grips by Michael Walker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good grips when exercising

Good grips but like the other reviewer I also encountered 2 situations where one of the grips fell off while riding. While this might seem like a trivial question, it definitely isn't as you tend to have a grip dependent combination of upper body weight and steering and I almost fell over. I've since tightened the handles and they seem to be holding. While I liked the idea of putting the hands on the group's extra upper mass, in practice this creates a dagger effect that causes the handles to rotate. Steering wheel. Looking back, I could have bought a GP3 and been in a better position. I bought these to help with carpal tunnel (hands fall asleep after 2 hours daily driving) and they really help. I place them very far forward to minimize circulatory disturbances where the wrist meets the hand.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not sure
