Brass nozzle not recommended

The yarn has a pleasant woody colour, but as soon as you touch it on the spool you can tell that it will be an abrasive yarn. I printed a Groot that used about 400 grams of filament at the start of the print with a new 0.4mm brass nozzle. As seen in the pictures you are seeing the finished nozzle compared to a new nozzle of the same brand. I had to increase the print temperature to avoid clogging. Let's get to my first print, the little Groot, which is practically essential when using wood PLA. I expected at least a few setbacks before I had anything decent. So I went with a lower quality and a higher speed just to see where the error probably lies. To my great surprise, my first print was almost…

It prints well, but a hardened nozzle is a MUST!

I use wooden thread for special prints for my customers. I have used about 4 different brands and this is by far the most abrasive. I compare it to the same abrasive as carbon fiber thread. Printed a temporary tower on a different machine and my temp of 190 was the best. My pen holder print (see photo) took about 10 hours using only about 66g of material. As you can see in the attached image, the nozzle wore out so quickly that the top half of the print began to degrade. My tip: Use a hardened…
