Evapolar EV1000CART Replacement Evaporative Humidifier Review

I like the way evapolar works. But my only complaint right now is that it uses more water and faster since I got this replacement filter.

This filter is not for the 1500 series. The first 2 pictures are what was in the 1500 and the second 2 pictures are what I got got as a replacement and obviously they are very different.

I ordered a replacement cartridge not knowing how long it would last. The instructions for Evapolar state 3-4 months. I'm glad I did because I already have it for next year!

Ahh. it's rough but I kept it for a year. It worked like a champ but after I got a new filter oh my god! Literally from 4-8 degrees rose to 10-15! I'm so crazy I missed this for so long, but it's just a great filter!

I work at home and my office is the warmest room upstairs. I bought it to use in the summer to reduce our electricity bills. Works well for me at altitude. Mold will form on the filter if left in water during use. I remove the filter when not in use.

The box was sealed but the item appears to be used. The old one I'm replacing has no such markings. Today is June 11th. The device no longer works. and now find out that the warranty belongs to the manufacturer. PLEASE CHECK WHO PROVIDES THE GUARANTEE: AMAZON WILL NOT HELP YOU!

Just over a month has passed. Used every day and one of the clips holding the handle to the device broke. See image. It doesn't affect performance, thank goodness. I also advise against leaving the filter in the unit when not in use. I had to buy a new filter but they are not cheap. Other than that, this thing is amazing.

Ok update my review. cartridge work; However, I had to get a firmware update (however, it took Evapolar almost a month to install the latest firmware on the device) to get it working. I originally received a CART-ERR message when adding a tank with this new cartridge. After updating the firmware everything worked perfectly. So very important people, 1) Make sure your phone is connected to the device. 2) Make sure you are using the latest firmware. If not, you'll need to contact Evapolar support

This review is more on the main unit than the (expensive) cartridge. I bought my second unit from Home Depot after buying the first one about 3 years ago and it started blinking when I turned it on. It didn't start, then after I did a little work with the power cable, which is USB micro, it started.
