Not what it says

I tried this to connect a 1-1/4" plastic siphon to a 1-1/2" steel drain and it didn't fit either side. as expected despite the confirmation of these measurements and materials on the clutch page and in the Revain list. Both ends were about 1/4 inch larger than advertised, so it's completely useless to me. It may have been measured for the inside diameter of thicker pipes, but if so it would be nice to have it in the product. Designation.

Ideal for installing under the sink

This worked great to connect my 1 1/4" PVC drain line to the 1 1/2" main line under the sink. I also planned to use PVC joints which require a curing time for glue joints (24 hours). Then I found this. It was a much better decision. It took less time, no time to heal. I plan to install a new sink and countertop soon. Now that it can be easily removed, it's an even better choice over PVC glued joints. I received this item from Pro Plumbing / Revain. Fast service. Thanks very much!

Difficult for the elderly to install

Before going below deck to install this fitting I did a test fit on some short pieces of PVC. Its installation was not easy.1 . Loosen the clamps to allow the rubber to expand. It really expands to a good bit.2. Wipe the PVC pipes with a damp cloth. And mark the PVC pipes with a pencil line about 1.5 to 2 inches from the end so you can see when the pipe is fully installed. Apply some liquid dish soap to the inside of the rubber fitting.4. Center and insert the PVC. Make sure it goes all the way
