Imagine the texture of burlap and you'll get a good idea of what it looks like. I've had 180tc sheets which seem to be softer and smoother. The zip is the smallest cheap one I've seen and doesn't stand a chance of lasting more than a year or so with regular use. The price is right but you really get what you pay for.

Just what I was looking for - real cotton pillowcases that feel comfortable. I'm so tired of microfiber, satin, silk, etc. It's also a good size for my slightly oversized, but not king or queen, pillows, and a nice solid, but not garish, yellow. I haven't washed them yet, so I'll think about how to delete them and update them if necessary.
