Setup confusion but easy pairing with Hue Hub

My only complaint is that the instructions were poor. It seemed to be about connecting the lightstrip to the controller with a connector, when in fact there are 6 wires to connect. There was no information or guidance on how they would connect. Turns out you press the "screw" above each hole, insert the wire, and release to lock it in place. Once it was connected I plugged it in and it turned on. I was worried that one of the cables wouldn't go through or something. I then went to my Hue app…

Good lighting. Fits perfectly with the Hue system.

I decided to install it to illuminate the countertops in the kitchen. The strip was the perfect length to run the length of my cabinets, give it a quick twist and be done before moving on to the stovetop. The lighting works very well, is bright enough and integrates immediately with my Hue system. Now I control it with other smart lights. I don't use the color change all that often, but I've found it gives off a little UV when set to dark purple. This proved very helpful in highlighting some of

Very inferior Philips Hue light strip alternative

This is WAY overpriced for what you get. You might be satisfied with this if you are only interested in rich colors. It can do it, but if you're trying to match different lighting or mixing certain colors or anything that looks like white or warm or cool, look elsewhere. Yes it can be used with a Philips system but not very well. This is a VERY inferior product and not that cheap to save money: 1. The adhesive backing is a joke. It sticks to the blue cover, not the back of the light strip.2…

ATTENTION! This will not work with Hue entertainment panels

This light bar is a great alternative to the expensive Hue light bar. It'll cost about the same if you go out and try to find the parts yourself, but it comes in a very conveniently assembled package that's ready to use. So all you have to do is plug it in, set it up, and you're good to go. . BUT. To my disappointment, while this syncs with the Hue app and ecosystem, it does NOT work in Hue Conversation Zones, which is key if you're trying to do things like connect to a Razer Chroma, Hue Sync…

Great for DIY projects - compatible with Hue

I use Philips Hue for all the lighting in my home. When it came time to upgrade my kitchen, I was tired of paying the Philips price. Also, Hue light strips are much more difficult to manage since they aren't wired and it would be a hassle to integrate all the wiring into the cabinets. My cabinets also extend from the left at a 90 degree angle with a pantry in the corner. I needed the ability to make custom wiring and extension cords. Combine this controller and a 2m strip with some 1m…

You get what you pay for

I've had this strip for a few months now and I have mixed feelings. In short: if you've invested heavily in your own Hue ecosystem or are planning to use it in a room with other Hue products, this product may not be for you. I've moved these strips to an area where there aren't any other Hue products and I'm very happy with their price. I would never pay $80 to add smart lighting to this area of my home, but I'm glad I paid about half that amount for locally controlled smart lighting with this…
